The coil item to be slit must already be setup in your Inventory master file - refer to "Setting up your Inventory Master File".
When you create coil stock items in Micronet, you also enter the coil width. Coils received from your suppliers can be slit into a number of smaller widths that you use regularly (e.g. to make flashings) or for one-off jobs. For example, a coil that is 1200 mm wide could be slit into three coils - one 600 mm and two 300 mm.
Each of the resulting slit coils has its own serial number and is tracked separately within Micronet for stock on hand, usage, coil yield analysis and offcuts.
Use this option to slit coils received from your suppliers, updating your Inventory master file.
